Rheinmetall Waffe Munition (RWM) has specialised for years in developing highly innovative protection systems to combat sensor-guided weapons, offering means and systems for protecting people, vehicles, ships, aircrafts and military assets.
In addition, large calibre dedicated munition, training and exercise systems and ammunition, decoys, 40mm ammunition, stun grenades, signal flares, precise special-effects ammunition and other military and civilian pyrotechnics form part of the portfolio. Non-lethal weapons likewise play an important role in the future to support ground, air, naval and special forces.
MILITARY VEHICLE PROTECTION - SMOKE LAUNCHERS AND GRENADES
RWM offers innovative solutions and protection concepts, e.g. the MASKE Multispectral Smoke Grenade which generates a dense smoke screen within two seconds and guarantees the interruption of the line of sight for 40 seconds from the ultraviolet to the far infrared range, as well as decoy effects against electro optically guided missiles. The new Light Vehicle Protection System, a multi-mission, extremely light system, effectively provides spontaneous protection against conventional weapons.
SMOKE PROJECTILES FOR ARTILLERY AND MORTAR EMPLOYMENT
With its new multispectral and visual smoke projectile series, RWM has successfully developed a new generation of screening smoke ammunition covering the ultraviolet, visual, infrared and laser waveband. These include artillery ammunition (105mm, 155mm), mortar and illuminating mortar rounds.
LAW ENFORCEMENT
RWM meets today's military and police requirements during special operations. We offer a broad range of non-lethal sound and flash stun grenades, launcher systems and ammunition with various effects like irritant cartridges or impulse rounds as well as the infrared cover smoke hand grenade SPIRCO.
SHIP PROTECTION AGAINST ADVANCED ANTI-SHIP MISSILES
MASS - Multi Ammunition Softkill System: the MASS™ naval countermeasure system offers unique protection against intelligent precision weapons. The computerised decoy system protects vessels against attacks from modern, sensor-guided missiles at blue seas, in littoral areas and given a terrorist attack. Thanks to its innovative, programmable omnispectral ammunition, spontaneous effectiveness in all relevant wave bands, including UV, EO, LASER, infrared and RADAR, is guaranteed. Also available are 130mm decoy rounds for SRBOC launchers.
AIRCRAFT PROTECTION
RWM develops high efficient spectrally balanced infrared decoys, array flares and spot flares to protect carrier aircrafts, helicopters and jets against infrared-guided missiles, e.g. the Array Flare DM 69 A2.
OBJECT PROTECTION
Our concepts for spontaneous protection of military and civil properties, such as camps, command posts and power plants, are unique.
40MM AMMNUNITION
RWM offers the complete variety of cartridges suitable to all 40mm weapon types. The patented 40mm propulsion system guarantees predictable accuracy and performance to meet the forces' operational and training requirements. In contrast to all popular 40mm ammunition, our new propulsion concept offers more extended possibilities such as MOUT operations.
PYROTECHNICS
The product spectrum extends from conventional pyrotechnics such as illuminating and signal flares, via smoke grenades, coloured and screening smokes and precise special-effects ammunition, to practise ammunition, flash and stun projectiles and air target simulators.
The range of signalling smoke products provides flexibility with regard to the communication on the battlefield. The brilliant coloured smoke is based on organic dyes and is bio-degradable. A wide selection of colours, burning times, ignition systems and canister designs is offered.
During tactical training and manoeuvres the Shot & Kill Simulators are used to provide tank crews, troop formations, instructors and umpires with visual and acoustic effects of simulated actions.

Intermat - Anti-Thermal / Anti-IR Camouflage Coating Materials
Intermat specialize in special-countermeasure wide-spectrum anti-IR coating materials (400nm - 20000nm) for concealment against thermal observation and deception of heat-seeking missiles. Intermat is widely known for being the only company promoting these state-of-the-art, anti-thermal coating materials that have been developed after many years of R&D.
ANTI-THERMAL / ANTI-IR CAMOUFLAGE COATING MATERIALS
Intermat's anti-thermal / anti-IR coating materials are not just other camouflage paints that you have come across before. They are truly the most advanced technological achievement of electronic / thermal-type camouflage coating materials for all military assets. The fundamental principle regarding the application is perfect thermal concealment, so that assets are unidentifiable by all modern IR sensors and thermal tracking systems.
CAMOUFLAGE YOUR THERMAL SIGNATURE
One of the most commonly used techniques for tracing and scanning is the use of infrared photography that reveals those objects that are hotter than their surrounding environment. By using Intermat coating materials, you can achieve a balance / equalization between the environment's IR signature and the thermal signature of the asset.
As a result, assets cannot be identified by IR or other thermal devices in the near, mid, or far spectrum (sniper scopes, NVGs, thermal-viewers, FLIRs, CVTTS, LANTIRN, LRASSS, laser designators, GPS / INS aided missiles that use IR sensors during final approach, satellites), simply because the asset is not seen or identified as hotter than its environment.
NATO'S STANAG AND IR-THREAT DEFINITION UPDATE
NATO has recently updated its standards with regards to which area of the spectrum a thermal threat is defined at. This information is now registered into NATO's database (up to 12000nm). This is a big step forward from what a thermal threat was perceived to be in the past (spectrum in the region of 1000nm - 1972 specification).
This update on thermal threat definition strengthens the specification of our coating materials, fully protecting you at the wide spectrum of 400nm to 20000nm against all IR threats.
In addition, our advanced-technology coating materials are in full compliance with NATO's Standardization Agreement 4319 under the title 'Counter-Surveillance Requirements for Future Main Battle Tanks - Infrared / Thermal Aspects'.
COATING MATERIALS’ CHARACTERISTICS
* Coating materials achieve up to 50% IR signature reduction (unique feature internationally)
* They can reduce external temperature up to 65%
* They are effective in the wide IR spectrum of 400nm to 20000nm
* They resemble the assets' thermal signature, with the environment's IR signature
* They can be applied on any asset, either mobile, fixed, aerial, naval
Coating materials are passive to the environment and when applied they stay on guard day or night, 365 days per year and for a long time.
BENEFITS OF INTERMAT ANTI-THERMAL CAMOUFLAGE
* You adapt to the IR environment of your area
* You are protected from thermal threat
* Your survivability in a complex and advanced military environment is significantly optimized
* You gain a sustainable advantage
* Targeting friendly assets is avoided
* Coating materials can be used as a permanent countermeasure during day or night, 365 days a year
* You can finally do away with traditional and conventional means of concealment that limit mobility, are user-dependent, require valuable resources, and often undermine the secrecy of the plan
With Intermat paints you can make an entire area disappear 365 days a year.
ANTI-THERMAL CREAM FOR SPECIAL FORCES
It is also very important to note that Intermat is constantly evolving this technology. The most recent progress entails PVC painting and the creation of an anti-thermal camouflage cream intended for special forces.
The anti-thermal camouflage cream can be applied on the uncovered part of the body (face, hands), so that the soldier can pass unnoticed, not only at the level of optical camouflage but most importantly being undetected by thermal tracking devices. Tests revealed that normally a soldier could be easily detected at 1,000m, but with Intermat's anti-thermal cream they would have to approach at a distance of about 150m to 200m before they can be exposed.
We believe that we offer the latest development of a unique technology, and although attempts have been made in the past to produce paints with anti-IR properties, these were proven inferior and are already considered obsolete in comparison to what Intermat can now deliver with proven tests and results both at the real-life battlefield and the laboratory.

Thales Air Defence - Short Range Air Defence Missile System
hales Air Defence Limited (TADL) is the prime contractor for very short range air defence systems in the UK. It is the Thales Group's centre of excellence for missile design, development and manufacture.
Operated from headquarters in Belfast employing around 500 personnel, TADL's activities are broad-ranging and seek to meet the requirements of customers requiring the design, manufacture, assembly and test of complete, integrated weapon systems, missiles or components.
TADL improves the ability of armed forces throughout the world to protect their assets and forces by supplying complex weapons and specialist protection systems that can be managed from concept through to disposal.
The majority of TADL's business operations are today represented by Starstreak, a revolutionary multi-purpose missile system which pushes the boundaries of missile design to its limits, with consequently devastating capabilities in ground-to-air, air-to-air and ground-to-ground roles.
Starstreak is currently in service with the British Army, and is likely to remain at the forefront of its air defence capability until at least 2020.
However, changes in the nature of the threat, especially to land forces, together with the growing unacceptability of high casualty numbers has highlighted the need for force protection systems – a market which is expected to grow over the coming years.
STARSTREAK HIGH-VELOCITY MISSILE (HVM)
The Starstreak high-velocity missile is designed for operation in all areas of the battlefield, from rapid-reaction roles to the defence of frontline armoured forces.
The missile is a unique laser-beam riding system which, by virtue of its extremely accurate laser guidance and fast time of flight, can defeat a variety of threats, including aerial targets such as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and helicopters, and also surface targets, static installations or terrorist platforms.
The unique three-dart concept of Starstreak ensures a high hit probability against all main threats. The combined kinetic energy and warhead ensure that target kill can be achieved from even a single dart hit.
The same Starstreak high-velocity missile can be deployed on a wide variety of platforms, from a simple tripod to the more sophisticated vehicle-based systems.
STARSTREAK LIGHTWEIGHT MULTIPLE LAUNCHER (LML)
The lightweight multiple launcher tripod provides three Starstreak missiles, all ready to fire, and is therefore optimised to deal with saturation attacks from the air or the ground.
This manportable system is designed to suit a wide range of missions, from lightweight rapid-reaction roles to air droppable operations. LML deployment is completed in less than two minutes, and Starstreak is then available for immediate firing.
MULTI-MISSION SYSTEM (MMS)
The multi-mission system is a unique, lightweight, vehicle based, highly automated system capable of delivering a rapid reaction response to threats from the air or the ground. MMS can be integrated into a network-enabled force structure and coordinated with early warning command and control (C²) systems, or can operate in an autonomous mode for specific missions.
Equipped with the Starstreak multi-role missile, or other missile systems such as anti-armour systems or rocket systems, MMS has the ability to take on a wide spectrum of targets, including armoured systems, static installations and terrorist platforms, as well as threats such as UAVs and helicopters.
With the increasing need for force protection against conventional and asymmetric threats, MMS provides the necessary multi-mission effects.
STARSTREAK ARMOURED VEHICLE SYSTEM (AVS)
The highly-mobile armoured Starstreak weapon system provides air defence forces with strategic, tactical and operational mobility in all areas of the battlefield. The armoured vehicle system also provides for the transportation of crew, equipment and provisions, as well as reload missiles. In service with the British Army, the system has been successfully deployed in Central Europe and in the Gulf.

Cobham Defence Communications - Battlefield Management Systems for Military Vehicle and Soldier Platforms
Cobham Defence Communications (CDC) has developed a modern Battlefield Management System (BMS) for use in the military combat management arena. The BMS system is available for several platforms, with the most recent significant development the Integrated Digital Soldier System (IDSS). This provides a fully integrated Combat Management System (CMS), which allows units in contact with the enemy to monitor and react to the 'chaos of battle' with full Situational Awareness (SA), digital mapping navigation and integrated command and control.
INTEGRATED DIGITAL SOLDIER SYSTEM (IDSS)
A key to success in any military operation is the ability for soldiers at the combat level to manage and control their environment, and directly influence the battlefield situation in real time, through decisive actions based on intuitive and sound situational awareness information.
IDSS provides the improved SA needed to achieve greater mission efficiency, and is available in three basic configurations:
* The commander system

Barco's display management software is ideally suited for common-operational-picture and scenario building and content sharing, thus enabling optimum shared situational awareness.
Local situational awareness (LSA)
Instead of operating in a traditional open battlefield environment, today's military operations are now moving into increasingly volatile, urban areas. This brings new threats and challenges for vehicle operators and the crew. Rapid deployment of ground troops heavily depends on ease of mobility, generally provided via lighter personnel carriers. Although so-called thin-skin vehicles are more agile and versatile, they are also considerably more vulnerable.
In addition, traditional weapon systems are designed, not for close-in sighting, but for longer-range sighting. Prior to deploying troops in an urban environment, close in, 360° of visualisation would provide a means of knowing if any close-in threats are present. In order to improve survivability, a higher degree of local situational awareness is therefore necessary.
Barco's local situational awareness solutions provide the ability to gather information in real-time, by means of indirect camera visualisation and present this to the operator. Visual tools and programmable human machine interfaces make it easier for the operator to focus on the big picture or on a specific area of interest. User-friendly screen layouts and technologies like image fusion of thermal and day cameras provide additional operational information, and high-definition imaging allows for rapid and ergonomic recognition of information in the blink of an eye.
Imaging and network-centric solutions
Barco's network-centric visualisation solutions provide the operator with the most agile solutions today to ensure that what they see is fast, accurate and reliable. Our families of PCI and VME video imaging solutions provide the highest performance in the industry. Coupled with our advanced solutions for RGB recording and networked distribution of radar images, image management is at an operator's fingertips. Products include:
* Video windowing and processing products
* Radar visualisation and distribution
* Archiving and display recording

WFEL - Military Bridges
WFEL Ltd has been building military bridges in Stockport, England, since the 1960s. We are totally focused on designing and building the best bridges available for military and civil emergency applications.
Our development, engineering and manufacturing resources are state-of-the-art and every military bridge we supply is backed by a full spares, repairs, training and maintenance package.
Above all, we are a team of specialists who understand what military users need from bridges and have consistently met or exceeded their expectations for nearly 40 years.
MGB – MEDIUM GIRDER BRIDGE
More than 500 Medium Girder Bridge (MGB) systems have been purchased by armed forces all over the world since it first went into service with the British Army in 1971. Although the bridge has been significantly developed from its initial design, to its multi-role capability of today, component interchangeability across any bridge of any age has been maintained.
The MGB bridge concept is a classic and is now used by the US Army, other NATO allies and customers around the world. MGB bridge units are light, easily transported and can be adapted for most tactical bridging requirements and types of gap crossing.
The MGB system includes piers, pontoons and ferries, all engineered for deployment with minimum manpower.
DSB – DRY SUPPORT BRIDGE
The WFEL Dry Support Bridge (DSB) enables just eight personnel to deploy a bridge from a road transporter in less than 90 minutes. When built, it can carry a load of up to 80t (tracked) and 100t (wheeled) across a span from 22m to 46m and has a roadway width of 4.3m.
The US Army has adopted the DSB as its new bridging system and with 58 systems on order, DSB is set to become the new dry support bridge world-leader.
WFEL's M18 dry support bridges have repeatedly proved their value in the field, in the USA, South Korea and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
APFB – AIR-PORTABLE FERRY BRIDGE
Now in service with the UK’s Royal Engineers, the Air Portable Ferry Bridge (APFB) went into production in 2004 to meet requirements by the British Army for a new bridging system that could be used by light forces in roles which increasingly demand mobility and flexibility.
The result is a complete modular bridge system that can be transported rapidly and easily by land, sea and air. It can then be hand built by troops or trained civilians in military or civil emergency applications, and in a variety of climates.
Despite its light weight and portability, the APFB is classified to MLC 35 (T) and MLC 35 (W). It can be used to bridge both wet and dry gaps, employed as an overbridge and incorporates a ferry system.
The APFB's versatility is enhanced even further by the facility to configure transportation using its own trailers, pallets or ISO containers – making it ideal for disaster relief operations as well as 'fly forward forces'.
Although new in concept, we have developed the APFB based on our highly successful Medium Girder Bridge (MGB) of which many parts are common. By incorporating relatively few new components, we have thus been able to further extend the MGB system's capabilities in pace with the changing needs of the user.

Military Mobile Bridges - Military Bridge Technology
The leading provider of armored wheeled and tracked vehicles in Europe is Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW).
Krauss Maffei’s business unit Military Mobile Bridges (MMB), located in Mainz, Germany, has developed and produced internationally leading bridge systems since the 1950s.
The comprehensive product portfolio includes bridges for wheeled and tracked vehicles of load class MLC 70; air-transportable systems with medium and lightweight carrying capacity for fast attack troops; and floating and support bridges.
LEGUAN BRIDGE SYSTEM
The LEGUAN bridge layer's 26m light-metal bridge can overcome almost 90% of these obstacles and be laid in the form of tandem bridging. Obstacles 39m wide can be spanned.
LEGUAN 26M ARMOURED VEHICLE LAUNCHED BRIDGE (AVLB)

Dedicated carry frames and trailers allow bridge components to be transported by the MUNGO vehicle and in the CH53 helicopter. Transportation of the fully assembled bridge by the CH53 helicopter is also possible.

CNIM - Military Bridges, Floating Bridges and Rafts, Assault Bridges
NIM is a leader in the design and manufacture of fast deployment military bridges of all kinds, including floating, dry-support, assault, logistic and rafts.
ASSAULT BRIDGES AND RAFTS
* Floating bridges and rafts: PFM-SIR, BAC20 and BAC60
* One span bridges: PTA (modular assault bridge)
TACTICAL BRIDGES
* Floating bridges and rafts: PFM, PFM-SIR, BAC20 and BAC60
* One span bridges: PTA (modular assault bridge) and PAR 70
LOGISTIC (SUPPORT) BRIDGES
* Floating bridge: PFM and PFM-SIR
* One span bridge: PAR 70
FLOATING BRIDGES AND RAFTS
All military floating bridges and rafts in this family build on the same technology, thus ensuring high reliability and low life cycle cost. They are launched and recovered by dedicated semi-trailers from unprepared banks and are autonomous once in the water. They require no additional means such as bank preparation dozers or tug boats. Land mobility is excellent thanks to their design, their reduced weight and their All Wheel Drive (AWD) devices. The prime mover is client’s choice, upon specification.
PFM TACTICAL AND LOGISTIC FLOATING BRIDGE
The PFM floating bridge is a continuous assembly of motorized floating modules, which is linked to land by access ramps. Bridge construction is mechanized and PFM can be used either as a tactical in-stride crossing mean or as a logistic bridge.
The PFM features fast deployment time, ease of use and a reduced life cycle cost. PFM bridge is MLC70 in fast currents, offers excellent battle damage sustainability and can access banks up to 3 meters above the water.
PFM is in service with three European armies.
BAC20 AND BAC60 ASSAULT RAFTS
Both the BAC20 and BAC60 assault rafts use the highly reliable and cost effective technology of the PFM. They can be deployed within minutes under any bank conditions.
PFM SIR ASSAULT BRIDGE
The PFM SIR assault bridge is an improvement of the PFM floating bridge. Its modularity allows the military commander to build any combination of rafts or MLC70 bridges, and switch from one mode to the other within minutes, depending on operational conditions. A centralized command (new feature) makes the PFM SIR assualt bridge one of the most crew effective systems available today.
The PFM SIR assault bridge is currently being delivered to an Asian army.
CLEAR SPAN BRIDGES - PAR 70 SUPPORT BRIDGE
The PAR 70 support bridge is a rapid deployment, MLC 70 towed support bridge. It is transported, launched and retrieved by a dedicated semi-trailer with no additional equipment required. The prime mover is the client's choice upon specification. Mobility is excellent thanks to the overall reduced weight of the system and the AWD device of the semi-trailer (in option).
The bridge is 19.5m long with a trackway of 4m wide and weighs 9,000kg. It can be deployed within three minutes by a crew of three. A pipe-line crossing version is also available.
The bridge itself is in service with the French Army. Its launching device is an improvement of an existing device, also in service with the French Army.
PAR 70 support bridge can be adapted on any existing AVLB in order to upgrade it to MLC 70.
CLEAR SPAN BRIDGES - PTA MODULAR ASSAULT BRIDGE
The PTA is a MLC 70 modular assault bridge, whose length is adjusted by the crew according to the width of the gap. It comes in two versions:
* PTA2: one vehicle can launch two 14.3m bridges or one 26m bridge before replenishment
* PTA3: one vehicle can launch three 10.5m bridges, or one 10.5m plus one 18.7m bridges, or one 27m long bridge
These systems offer an excellent operational flexibility as well as an unmatched life cycle cost. Both use the same 10x10 wheeled chassis, which offers state of the art tactical and strategic mobility.

Operation, launching and retrieving is fully automated. The system is operated by a crew of two under armour.
Development and initial production of the PTA modualr assault bridges is under progress for the French Army.

IAG - Armoured Vehicles and Run-Flat Tyres
nternational Armored Group (IAG), is a builder of custom armoured vehicles, armoured cars, armoured trucks, cash in transit vehicles, armoured troop-transporters, armoured personnel-carrier vehicles and other military purpose vehicles featuring our exclusive Smartarmor™ technology.
This technology, now in use in over 1,000 vehicles worldwide, has withstood hundreds of attacks. Our safety record is second to none, with designs among the best in the business. Warranty claims are almost non-existent.
ARMOURED VEHICLE MANUFACTURING
Over the years the company has grown to include a very modern purpose-built manufacturing facility in the Middle East, together with a service and repair facility in Baghdad, Iraq.
More than 100 armoured vehicle units per month can be produced at our spacious 50,000ft² state-of-the-art facility in the Dubai area of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), making International Armored Group the largest armoured vehicle manufacturer in the European and Middle Eastern areas.
BALLISTIC PROTECTIVE VEHICLES
The use of CNC waterjet cutting technology, interfaced with CAD / CAM design, offers increased quality and reliability. All our designs are service-proven, with over 750 vehicles currently in use in Iraq and Afghanistan which have helped hundreds of people survive attacks.
At IAG, we incorporate years of experience with constant design improvement to produce some of the safest protection vehicles available today.
VEHICLE BALLISTIC PROTECTION
IAG armoured vehicles utilise the same ballistic protection-level materials in the roof components as for the rest of the vehicle. This ensures full passenger protection even from vertical attacks (i.e. from bridges or overpasses).
BALLISTIC STEEL DOOR AND WINDOW OVERLAPS
All window (transparent armour) areas are overlapped with ballistic steel. This ensures that the passenger compartment is protected even when attacked at the weaker areas.
INTEGRATED DOOR AND WINDOW SPALL SHIELDS
IAG incorporates spall shields (or bullet catchers), into the door and window overlaps to ensure that the passenger compartment retains full protection, even when attacked at an angle. Without this protection, occupants would be vulnerable in this common type of attack.
BALLISTIC-PROTECTIVE REINFORCED HINGES
Our vehicles feature fully internally-reinforced hinges made from the same protection-level materials used in the main body of the vehicle. This guarantees that the hinges will transfer the excess door loads to the interior structure of the vehicle, ensuring a long lifetime for the door components and structure whilst maintaining alignment.
SMARTARMOR ARMOURED VEHICLE PROTECTION
Unique to IAG, Smartarmor armoured vehicle protection is a flexible technological design with multifunctional capabilities. Components are designed to be cost-effective and structural, permit ease of maintenance, and provide superior ballistic-resistance, all in one package.
BOX-WITHIN-A-BOX ROLL-OVER VEHICLE PROTECTION
A finished IAG armoured vehicle provides exceptional roll-over protection with the box-within-a-box design. Since the armouring is fully-connected throughout, the interior armouring actually becomes the new vehicle structure. It is more effective than a roll cage in the event of a loss of control while evading an attack.
RUN-FLAT TYRES
An important element to any protective vehicle is the ability to escape from an attack zone quickly. To ensure that this is possible, all vehicles are equipped with the latest run-flat devices in their tyres. This permits continued driving even after an attack has deflated the tyre.
SERVICE-PROVEN PROTECTIVE DESIGN
IAG armoured vehicles have been used for years in hostile environments around the world with an exceptional safety record. The design provides full protection and escape capabilities as proven with hundreds of vehicles in use which are attacked regularly.
FULL ARMOUR COMPONENTS WARRANTY
IAG armoured vehicles are backed with a full three-year or 60,000km limited warranty for all armour components and workmanship.
EASE OF MAINTENANCE
Care has been taken in our armoured vehicle designs to ensure easy maintenance. Most glass areas can be replaced with standard tools in a short time by utilising bolted configuration.
