GUIDESTAR™ 311 FCS AND INTEGRATED SENSOR SUITE FOR AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE CONTROL
The Athena GuideStar 311, also known as the GS-311 is an integrated, high-performance, low-cost, vehicle control system intended for UAV and military applications. Weighing less than 4.8lbs and packaged in a 4in x 5in x 6in. enclosure, GS-311 is a variant of the GS-211 that offers additional processors for more complex mission and payload management and extensive analog and digital I/O, including Ethernet and the option of a second GPS (SAASM) installation.
The GS-311 design meets the most rigorous environmental requirements ensuring a long, trouble-free life and guaranteed performance over the full temperature and altitude range of the system, eliminating the risk of moisture contamination. Athena provides an integrated development environment for customer-developed software on the GuideStar.
GUIDESTAR 211HG-7 INTEGRATED UAV FLIGHT SENSOR SUITE
The GS-211HG-7 is a member of Athena’s GuideStar product line of highly sophisticated, compact and affordable INS / GPS and air data, integrated sensor solutions for UAV and military applications, with an optional flight control module.
GS-211HG-7 leverages Athena's solid foundation of performance and many tens of thousands of hours of operational and in-theatre experience, providing our customers solutions to enable their UAV systems the shortest time to market at the lowest lifecycle cost. The GS-211HG-7 complements the GuideStar GS-211e product that is in full rate production on the US Army Shadow Tactical UAV, currently providing unparalleled flight handling qualities and target location accuracy performance around the clock to the war fighter in OIF and OEF.
GUIDESTAR 111m MINIATURIZED UAV FLIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM
Weighing less than 0.5lb, the GS-111m is a fully integrated, affordable, miniaturized flight control system for small, high-performance fixed-wing, ducted fan, and helicopter UAV applications. The GS-111m combines integrated INS / GPS and a complete air data suite with robust, multi-variable control algorithms. The GS-111m's miniaturization yields a lower unit cost, allowing accommodation of smaller, low-cost UAVs.
GUIDESTAR 111 GPS / ADAHRS / AUTOPILOT
The GS-111 integrates solid-state gyros and accelerometers, magnetometer, GPS receiver, and air data pressure transducers into a single unit. Weighing 1.7lb, this unit is a high-reliability, strap-down system that provides attitude and heading measurement with static and dynamic accuracy superior to traditional spinning mass vertical and directional gyros. Superior accuracy is achieved during dynamic maneuvers through Kalman-Filter algorithms and GPS/magnetometer reference. The GS-111 is on the Air Force’s most recent target platform, the BQM-167A Target UAV.
GUIDESTAR (GS) 111u THE MICRO GUIDESTAR
Even smaller than the GS-111m, the Micro GuideStar is an expendable and very low cost solution for UAVs to retain as much of the essential elements to maximize navigational and functional performance. The Micro GuideStar accommodates cost and size constraints by removing non-essential and costly parts. Athena’s miniaturized packaging of the Micro GuideStar integrates its capabilities into the smallest hardware possible, about the size of a small cell phone.
