STEEL ARMOR PLATES

EWS’ steel armor plates come from the world’s leading producers of armor plating, who bring with them a deep understanding of the protection requirements for any given project.

Subsequently, EWS can assist the customer in the selection of the best grade of armored steel to achieve the desired degree of protection. The wide range of strength and toughness available enables the selection of the most suitable grade of armored steel which conforms to various specifications including MIL A-46100.
STEEL PLATE PRODUCTION

The EWS product line covers a wide range of steel plating - from thin and small plate blanks to large and thick plates which are cut, press-formed and prepared for welding. Cutting machines used include several lasers with a cutting capacity of up to 8.000mm × 2.500mm on plates up to 20mm thick.

State-of-the-art high definition plasma can cut plates up to 18.000mm long in thickness up to 38mm and can prepare bevelled edges and machine drill holes with very high accuracy. EWS can also supply bend formed parts in small or large batches: the largest edge press has a force of 1,600 tons and can form parts up to 10.000mm long. Certified welding services are also available, including mechanical and electrical assembly. EWS can provide ISO 9001 certification if and when required.
